What size BREMBO calipers fit my bike?
Are you ready to upgrade your motorcycle brakes, but don't know what size calipers will fit your bike?
Its easier than you think! Check this out....
Most brake calipers only come in 2 main sizes. 108mm and 100mm. What does this mean?
The answer is probably more simple than you expected. The size simply refers to how far apart the bolts are. Yes, it's literally that simple.
Take your calipers, or a REALLY good ruler that shows millimeters. The measurement you are after, is the distance from the top bolt, to the bottom bolt. You want to make sure you are measuring from the dead center of the bolt on each bolt.
Again, the 2 most common sizes are 108mm (typically used in Japanese bikes - Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc). The 100m versions are commonly used in European bikes (Aprilia, Ducati, KTM, etc). This is not a guarantee, so you MUST take your own measurement before selecting the proper calipers for your bike.
It is amazing how much the brake feel and performance is improved when you upgrade your brake calipers. Aside from upgrading the master cylinder, this is the most noticeable improvement in braking.
