Doug KauAs the other review said, the dB killer is designed to be semi-permanent. 2 minutes and drill, and I got the dB killer out. Sounds awesome!

Jon AIt's a well built system, but some points need clarification. Quality is top notch and worth the longer than expected wait. The sound is very similar to stock though. A little more rumble and bass, but at cruising speeds its very similar. At WOT, it sounds just like stock but with more volume. The largest issue is that the dB killer is permanently installed. I'm used to ( like most of us) a removable db killer with a circlip or set screw. The db killer in the muffler is installed with a cap over the set screw, which is welded into place. Then painted to make it look like it's non removable. It looks removable with some grinding, removing the cap, removing the screw, scoring the paint around the insert and pulling it out. But it's a little annoying that you have to do that with a brand new $750+ dollar exhaust, to get the sound and performance you pay for.Motovation AccessoriesOct 29, 2020, 11:38:03 AMWe do agree that the recent change in Euro 5 emissions restrictions has made performance exhausts more difficult. The laws are requiring European manufacturers to follow strict guidelines in regards to dB killers.
While SC-Project is best known for their MotoGP race exhausts, this particular exhaust is listed as a "street legal" version, and not a race unit. The main difference being the dB killer installed.
If you want to mod your street legal exhaust to be more of a "race" type exhaust, you can follow these simple instructions. https://www.motovationusa.com/sc-project-db-killer-removal.html
